How good is Green Filter©?
We maintain it's the best filter in the world, which is why it's the choice of the WRC teams.
It is better than every filter we have tested including some well known brands.
Airflow with Green Filter© is much greater than others.
If Green Filter© allows the engine to perform so well, is it filtering the air properly?
Yes, Green Filter© cleans down to .50 micron which is very fine (Cling wrap is approx 20 microns, so .50micron is roughly 1 / 40th of cling wrap thickness). The testing ground has been on winning World Rally Championship cars that race in extremely dusty, harsh desert environments.
Benefits to you?
~ increased Fuel Savings
~ extra Performance

Okay How and Why Does the Green Filter© Work?
Green Filter©s are made from cotton, and are described as being the best use cotton since the invention of Jeans by Levi Strauss.
A standard paper filter tends to absorb moisture and dirt rather than hold onto it. With our high humidity in New Zealand there tends to be a paper machet effect produced.
A Green Filter© is made from cotton, which has perfect features for air filtration. It is organic, and dries quickly after becoming damp. This allows the filter to breath easily.
The 2 layers of woven cotton in the filter are pleated, allowing a 10% -20% increase in surface area for the draw down of air into the engine. The more surface area you have, the more air you can pass through the filter and into your engine to create more power.
This pleating also gives the filter element extra strength and rigidity.
There are 3 main benefits to using woven cotton.
It is thinner which allows improved airflow, but without sacrificing filtration which on a Green Filter© is down to .050 microns.
Being woven cotton it holds oil more evenly, whereas a gauze filter will act more like a sponge and oil can be pulled down by engine intake pressure.
Cotton is stronger than a gauze medium and you cannot just wear a hole in it by minor rubbing.
The layers of cotton are held in place by a strong fine mesh that trap and hold dirt and moisture particles to a size of .050 microns. These dirty particles can easily be seen against the bright Green Filter© , indicating that it is time to clean the filter.
Green High Performance Air Filters are a lifetime filter, designed to be oiled. The oil creates a positive [+] magnetic charge with the mesh, which attracts the negatively charged [-] dust particles. The dust and dirt builds around the mesh to form a tunnel. This allows the cotton to remain cleaner for maximum flow.
Green High Performance Air Filters are designed with advanced, leading edge rubber moulding technology. The rubber fanges are precisely machined to offer snug, airtight seals, that absorb vibration and are not affected by the harsh conditions of the engine bay.
Most other cotton air filters are manufactured by a pressure moulding injection method. This consumes filter surface area, and leads to a reduction in surface area of up to 25%. Green Filter© uses a Four Step manufacturing process that is more expensive and time consuming, but produces a filter with substantially improved airflow.
HISTORY
The Green Cotton Air Filter company was formed in 1995 and was borne out of the idea of designing, developing, manufacturing and supplying premium cotton air filters to the racing and motor sport industry. The experience and expertise gained from supplying customers like Peugeot, Citroen and Motorsport teams has quickly promoted the company to becoming Europe's largest cotton air filter manufacturer.
From year 2000 the prestigious EAQF manufacturing standard was awarded to Green Air Filters for consistent, high quality manufacturing standards. The range of filters is expanding all the time and the commitment to providing the customers with the best filtration technology available is always guaranteed
